HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® seeks women who will promote, uphold, and extend its policies and programs. In return, the Sorority is a conduit through which individuals can grow and develop, personally and professionally while simultaneously providing “Service to All Mankind.”

MEMBERSHIP - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The members of the Pi Alpha Omega Chapter welcome all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to visit, transfer or reactivate with our chapter. We hope you find your home with us as we continue to grow and service all mankind.

Chapter meetings are held on the 4th Saturday of each month at 10:08 am excluding the months of June and July. The address is Atlanta Metropolitan State College – 1630 Metropolitan Parkway SW. Meeting dates may also change due to holidays (May, November, December). First time visitors are encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes early to verify credentials prior to being admitted into the meeting. Business attire is required.


Please complete the Visiting Soror Information Form at least seven (7) days in advance of the chapter meeting. 


In accordance with the Sorority's Standard Operating Guidelines and/or Chapter Protocol, visiting members are asked to provide two forms of identification (one Primary and one Secondary) for meeting entry. Primary Identifications may include any government issued ID. Secondary Identifications may include, but are not limited to:


  • A current or past financial card (in most cases, the name listed should match the Primary ID; exceptions: maiden name, married name)
  • A copy of your original membership certificate signed by our Corporate Office
  • A receipt from a Cluster, Regional Conference or Boule that contains your name
  • Old Ivy Leaf Magazine that contains your name
  • Business attire is required
